The Market Manager is responsible for strategic market planning and product marketing for the Energy segment.  This individual is the market’s advocate within our firm and works with closely with Sales, Product and Services to ensure company targets are met.

 

This individual is responsible for delivering business recommendations with supporting data that result in informed decisions. Responsible for analyzing data and providing meaningful insights.  This includes gathering and prioritizing product requirements, defining go to market strategies, developing and delivering messaging and to ensure the company’s product and marketing efforts support the company's overall strategy and goals.

 

This individual will build and execute an Energy Market growth strategy for our products and services. The growth strategy will not only consider source of growth from traditional markets, but also new segments that represent a good fit for our company’s development vision in this industry including Electric, Oil, Gas, Petrochemical, and Mining.

 

Key Responsibilities

·         Provide market assessment, business opportunity and market requirements.

·         Be the expert source of information for the company in the Energy industry and able to develop strong business justifications and go to market strategies

·         Manage a business plan providing top focus priorities, forecasting and monitoring market share.

·         Assess business goals and strategic marketing needs of clients

·         Be a Subject Matter Expert and participate and speak at industry events and work hand-in-hand with the Sales and Product Groups.

·         Generate messaging, content, promotions and other tools to enable successful market penetration.

·         Shape and/or champion new direction for the product or solutions to meet market needs.

·         Assist with the core positioning and messaging for the market/product

·         Work closely with Sales channels and support capture efforts through the development of sales tools and collateral

·         Prepare and present the business case for supporting a particular product/enhancement

·         Maintain strong understanding of competitive environment and provide regular updates

·         Research market need and create business case/strategy for assigned market

·         Support senior staff with research, development and presentation of new market/product concepts to gain timely management approval

·         Participate in strategic planning and execution phases of market engagements and opportunity pursuits

·         Participate in development of branding, identity development, positioning, value proposition, and new product launches

·         Perform competitive assessment and development of strategic marketing programs including marcom, sales presentations, web and interactive initiatives

·         Build and maintain business relationships at all the necessary levels in the client’s organization
 

Qualifications

·         3-5 years strong product marketing and/or comprehensive marketing solutions experience a plus

·         Superior quantitative abilities, and written and verbal communications skills

·         MBA Degree preferred

·         Experience within the Energy industry

·         Technical background in software or telecommunications

·         Capable of delivering comprehensive business plans

·         Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project

·         Proven ability to unblock and support key business opportunities, ranging from opening closed doors to engaging directly with challenging customer leaders

·         Person must be able to engage and overcome internal blockers by collaborating with the Business Group to shape industry relevance and investments.

·         Person must have a proven track record of developing measurable goals and objectives with minimal guidance, managing dependencies by coordinating group goals/activities with virtual teams.
